Playing Field

Exams encourage a competitive response to life, comparison in human relationships and various anxieties. Hence we rather focus on learning and bringing forth from the students a passionate interest in their studies, exposure to practical activities such as engineering and woodwork and involve them in other serendipities, relevant to life.

However exams do play a significant part in the assessment procedures of modern society, therefore at around 13-14 years, our teachers focus on preparing the students for the University of Cambridge International GCSE exams and A' level exams at age 16-17 years. Once a term or more often, the students take internal exams so that they learn to be sensible and free of exam nerves.

IGCSE (10th standard) and Cambridge A levels (above 12th standard level) have a high reputation for eliciting in the students a response to learning which is both explorative and non-mechanical. We abhor "mugging-up".
